The backside of Noe's home can be seen. Noe comes out of the sliding glass door with a discontent look. Silhouettes of what could only be his parents arguing, can be seen through the curtain of the sliding glass door. Noe runs up a small hill full of grass right in his backyard. He stops at the top of the hill with his head down and hands clenched into a fist at his sides.
His fists begin to tighten, and his eyes squeeze together. He finally exhales, unclenched his fists, and looked up toward the bright crescent moon, eyes still closed, embracing it's light. As he lets out another sigh, he opens his eyes to find something sitting on the crescent moon. He goes into shock.
She has long white silver hair that is gently flowing in the small wind, light gray dress draping over the crescent moon as her small feet can be seen underneath. Very pale color, all except her green eyes, the only thing that has any hint of color on her. With a blunt expression on her, she looked behind her, to her left and right, then noticed that the boy was looking at her. He could really see her.
Noe rubs eyes and gazes back at the girl, still thinking that this is a hallucination of some sort. But...it wasn't. She was really there. A girl was really sitting on the moon.
The girl smiles a bit and lifts her right hand, with a simple ring on, and gently waves toward Noe
Noe is startled at the graceful movement by her, then a sudden redness appears to his face as he returns the wave too.
The girl giggles slightly by his reddened face.
At the sight of her perfect white smile, he smiles as well.
Her smile enlarged; from ear to ear. Then... it quickly faded away.
As he saw this... his smile disappeared too. He gave her a puzzled look: 'Whats wrong?' he said through his facial expression.
She reached out her arm toward him, but soon stopped as she started to loose balance on her small place on the moon. The moon slowly rocking back and forth.
He realized why she was sad... she wanted to get down.. but she was stuck up there. A strong determined face overcame his face, an idea must have struck him.
Noe runs off camera towards his house. He then runs off the hill towards her and tries to reach for her, missing by... well a lot. He gets back up and shakes his head to get the grass off his hair. He looks up at her...
...she chuckles to herself.
He smiles, then gets up and runs back up the hill.
Her smile becomes a curious look at what he is doing. Her head tilts to one side trying to figure out what exactly is going through his head.
Stacks and stacks of chairs are placed directly underneath the moon with Noe on top, on his tippy-toes and arms outstretched to her.
She leans down and reaches her hands for his. Just as his fingers just scrape hers, the chairs collapse beneath him as he falls.
With her arm still dangling, her fist tightens and her face squishes up. She gets up and puts her hands into her face and begins to cry.
He clambers out of the multiple chairs on top of him and looks up at her. A tear falls on his nose. The sight of her crying frightens him and gets out of the chairs and starts to wave his hands to get her attention.
She moves her hands just below her chin and sniffles... small tears still falling.
He puts both of his palms: 'Hold on' his hands says.
He runs back toward the house as she still sits on the moon with tears in her eyes. Her mouth begins to open, as if in shock.
A ladder is then set up, and he climbs up the ladder until his face is close to hers. She looks at him still in shock.
His hand reaches over and wipes a tear away from her beautifully glowing face, yet resting upon her soft red cheeks.
He looks into her eyes and can't stop gazing at her. He slowly leans into her.
Her eyes begin to slowly close, bracing in for his lips.
He slowly pulls away, opening his eyes seconds later.
Her eyes slowly begin to widen, and a smile spreads across her beautifully glowing face.
He smiles too, as his face begins to turn red.
A sudden orange glow appears across her face. She turns her head toward her left... appearing into the sun getting ready to peek over the horizon.
He follows her gaze, and realizes, she doesn't have much more time.
They face each other again. Her smiling and brushing his hair with her hand. She leans over and kisses him on the cheek. She takes his hands, and her mouth stays close to his ear.
Thank you.
He smiles and tears form in his eyes, but he holds them back.
She grabs his hand as he slowly makes his way down the ladder, the scene becoming more and more peach color. He climbs out of frame.
He watches his last step and looks at the sunset and glances back at her.
She smiles and a small tear rolls down again... her right arm again lifted and begins to wave, but.. something seems to be missing this time. Though he can't quite tell, he waves back and she slowly begins to fade away; disappearing into the now peach filled sky.
He's looking up, then notices something in his other closed hand. He looks down...
His hand slowly begins to open, as a small ring reveals itself.
